AFC Leopards have announced the signing of Tanzanian international midfielder Hamisi Juma from Simba SC on a two-year deal with an option for a third year. The 24-year-old is widely considered one of the most creative midfielders in East African club football and completes a transfer that Ingwe have been pursuing since the January window.
Who is Hamisi Juma?
Juma made his name at Yanga SC before his move to Simba, where he scored seven goals and registered eleven assists in 28 league appearances last season. Comfortable in a box-to-box role or operating as a number ten, his ability to beat a press with quick one-touch football directly addresses the area AFC Leopards have struggled most this campaign.
“I chose AFC Leopards because of the project, the history of this club, and the ambition of the people running it. I want to win trophies here.”

Ingwe are fifth in the KPL table, eight points off the top two, but the signing arrives with continental qualification as a realistic target. The CAF Confederation Cup spots are contested by the top four, and Juma's creativity could prove decisive in the remaining fixtures. He is eligible to feature this weekend against Kakamega Homeboyz.
